Methow Valley Nordic

Financial Assistance Provided to Juniors by MV Nordic Club

MV Nordic is proud to support junior recreational skiers and racers. We use revenue generated from our ski camps and clinics to provide the following types of support:

  • Funds for skiers from the Methow Valley who are striving to excel as ski racers to attend camps and training. Get the ski training & racing assistance form here.

  • Funds for junior skiers from the Methow Valley to help pay for coaching and equipment rental.
Get the coaching & rental equipment assistance form here.

Please be aware that BOTH forms of assistance have application deadlines.

How YOU Can Help Support Junior and Elite Methow Valley Skiers

The Nordic Club is one branch of the Methow Valley Ski Educational Foundation, which is an official 501c3 non-profit organization. The other branches are the MV Nordic Team, Methow Valley Biathlon, and Methow Olympic Development. You can support junior and elite-level nordic skiers by making tax deductible contributions to

Methow Valley Nordic Ski Educational Foundation (MVNSEF)
    PO Box 391
    Winthrop, WA 98862

Please designate one of the above groups for your donation. And remember, participating in our camps, clinics, and classes also supports developmental skiing!

New for 2011-2012, there is another way to support Methow Valley skiers. The Elite Opportunity Fund provides financial support to eligible graduates of the MV Nordic Team program who have been selected by a national governing body (USSA, USBA) in one of the Nordic disciplines to compete in sanctioned international events or training camps. The MVNSEF recognizes the considerable financial difficulties faced by promising post-junior team skiers in their efforts to compete and succeed at the international level, and the very limited support provided by USSA and USBA.

Four skiers have qualified for this support in 2011. They are:
    Sadie Bjornsen
    Erik Bjornsen
    Brian Gregg
    Casey Smith

Please consider making a donation to help these athletes reach the highest levels of the sport. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Send donations payable to

    MVNSEF Elite Opportunity Fund
    PO Box 1063
    Winthrop WA 98862
    .
