Thurs. – Sun. Dec. 13-16 MVN
Ski Camp
Thurs, Dec 27: Fun ski from Sun Mountain Lodge to
the Winthrop Town Trailhead:
Meet at the Town Trailhead parking lot at 8:30 to carpool
to the lodge. The group will ski back to town – 15k
+/-, mostly downhill, depending on the route selected –
with anticipated return by noon. Someone will shuttle the
initial drivers back to the lodge to retrieve their cars.

Rodeo. MVSTA's first race of the new ski season!
5k, 10k Freestyle. Easy, gentle rolling loop. Mazama Community
Center.
Mon. Dec 31 (New Year’s Eve) Wooden Ski Race:
This new event is hosted by MV Nordic in concert
with the MV Nordic Ski Team. Wear wool and bring wooden skis
to celebrate the history and beauty of skiing at the 5 Kilometer
Wooden Ski Race plus kids’ events at the Mazama Trailhead.

JANUARY
Wed. Jan 2 MV Nordic Intermediate
Level Technique Classes Begin:
SORRY - THIS CLASS IS FULL. This
is an eight week class starting January 2 in both skate
and classic technique for intermediate level skiers, with
alternate techniques from week to week at varying meeting
places for different terrain.
The class will meet Wednesday afternoons from 3-4:30 beginning
Jan 2. Club member cost $80; non-member cost $100. You must
sign up for the entire 8 weeks; no drop-ins. We will have
a variety of expert coaches. Call Jan Erickson at 996-3710

Pursuit A one or two day event
for all levels. 15k classic @ Sun Mt. followed by a 30K
freestyle Mazama to Winthrop.

Sat. Feb. 9 Rendezvous
Mountain Tour.
30k freestyle. Cub Creek to Mazama. Lots of climbing!
Date TBA Mazama
Potluck & Full Moon Tour 5:30pm at the Mazama Community Center. FREE. Come join fellow skiers for a hearty dinner followed by
a bracing ski under a rising moon. Everyone welcome. Bring
a potluck item to contribute. Fun for children and families

Sat. Feb 16 5th
Annual Tour of the Methow.
Come and experience a terrific non-competitive event. Participation
nearly doubled last year for this point-to-point skiing TOUR
extravaganza. We are hoping that it will grow again! No bibs,
no timing, lots of food. Choose to ski 20, 30, 50, or 80k.
This
will be followed by annual potluck at Liberty Bell High School.

Annual MVNC Potluck:
5:30pm at Liberty Bell High School. Bring a potluck item.

Sun. Feb. 17 5th
Annual MVNC Doggie Dash. Town Trailhead @ 9:00
am. Registration fee $12 (all proceeds to benefit dogs and
cats in need); kids under 12 are FREE. Creative costumes for
you and your dog are highly encouraged - prizes will be awarded
